Sick Days, Snow Days, Chili Days

I've been sick since Sunday. I drug my tail through my classes on Monday but when I started giving my students the wrong answers to their assignment, I knew I was starting to loose it. By the next morning, I was worse and continued to decline while my fever rose the next couple days. Finally, I was starting to feel better this morning. And the fact that I did not have any more sub-plans prepared motivated me to head to class.

Then I turned on the news. It seems a storm was on it's way to good ol' B'ville and snow was already coming down. However, my school had not yet decided to close their doors. I waited as long as I could, dug my car out from under the snow and started the typically 10 minute drive to work. Thirty minutes later, I pull into my school parking lot only to get a phone call saying we'd closed. So, right around I turned and now for the third day in a row, I'm home in my pj's, watching the snow continue to fall and making chili!
